Depression Therapy
in Hove.

Compassionate, experienced psychotherapy for depression, based in Hove.

Living with depression.

Depression doesn't always look the way we expect. Sometimes it's a deep sadness or hopelessness that colours everything. Other times it shows up as irritability, numbness, or a flatness that makes even simple things feel impossible. You might still be functioning, going to work, keeping things together, while feeling utterly empty inside.

If any of this feels familiar, you're not alone. And you don't have to keep managing it by yourself.

Understanding the deeper layers.

Depression often has roots that go deeper than its symptoms suggest. Losses, not just bereavement, but losses of identity, relationships, hope, or purpose, frequently lie at its heart. So too can long-held beliefs about our own worth, absorbed so early and so quietly that we've never thought to question them.

Psychotherapy offers a space to begin exploring these layers, gently and at your own pace.

Paying attention to your whole story.

I work psychodynamically, which means we pay attention to your whole story, not just the present symptoms, but the experiences and relationships that have shaped how you see yourself and the world. This kind of understanding can bring real and lasting change, rather than temporary relief.

Many people find that simply being heard, properly, without judgement, begins to shift something.
